In loving memory of David Martyniuk who sadly passed away on 9th December 2025

Hanna Martyniuk wrote

Deepest condolences to Richard, Stephen, Susan, Sandra, and the whole family. My name is Hanna Martyniuk, and I am writing from the Netherlands, The Hague.

I am researching my family history and I believe we are be related. My grandfather, Leon Martyniuk, had a youngest brother named Stanisław (born around 1924, son of Eustachy Martyniuk and Maria Turska), with whom we lost contact after WWII.

I was recently struck by the incredible family resemblance. The late David Martyniuk looks so much like my father’s late brother Edward. Furthermore, I saw a photo of a young man on Sandra’s profile who looks exactly like my 9-year-old son, Jan, might look in ten years. The Martyniuk genes are clearly very strong!

We have one old photograph of Stanisław from his youth in our family album in Poland. I would dearly love to connect with you to verify if we share the same ancestors, Eustachy and Maria. It would mean the world to share our history and perhaps exchange family photos.

With sympathy,
Hanna Martyniuk

I still can't believe you've gone. It was way too early. My love of 52 years. We had a great life full of love and laughter, with 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
I miss and love you so much. Until we're together again.

All my love forever and more Sam (Sanrda) xxxx
