In loving memory of Michael Graham Jones who sadly passed away on 15th December 2025
Born in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, Michael Jones was the only child of Alfred and Irene and was raised primarily by his mother before running away to sea as a teenager.
This bold start led to a 22-year career in the Royal Navy, where he traveled the world empowering crewmates from the ships' galleys.
In the late 1960s, he married Wendy at All Saints Church in Chatham, gaining a large extended family and eventually becoming a father to Mark and Emma and a grandfather to Isobelle.
A "bigger than life" personality and the soul of any party, Michael was a non-religious man known for his generosity and his willingness to offer advice or a helping hand.
He was most at home in the kitchen or his shed sanctuary, and he found joy in a wide range of interests including food, history, trains, motorbikes, classic war movies, and cartoons like Tom and Jerry.
