Malcolm Stuart Preston
On 12th December 2025, at his home in Hanging Heaton, aged 79 years, Mal --- loving and devoted husband to Pat, a much - loved and cherished dad to Matthew and Sarah, and a very dear father-in-law to Jane. He was a deeply loved and proud grandad to Courtney, Jayden, Lottie and beautiful baby angels Lexi and Harry. Malcolm was a treasured great-grandad to Louie, also a dear and respected uncle and friend. He was a loving brother to the late Roy and David. He will be remembered for his warmth, kindness and heart of gold. He will be sadly missed always. Funeral service will be held at St Paul's Church, High Street, Hanging Heaton, Batley, WF12 7EN on Tuesday 6th January at 2pm, followed by interment at Batley Cemetery at 3pm. Friends and family please gather at the church, flowers, floral tributes or donations for Yorkshire Cancer Research will be received at George Brooke's Chapel of Rest, 9, Battye Street, Dewsbury WF13 1PW.
All are welcome afterwards for refreshments at Healds Hall Hotel, Leeds Road, Liversedge, WF15 6JA

Dear Malcolm you really have made a massive dent in our family you will be missed . I loved your saying this is the life when we were on holiday ...it's so true , that's when I felt I had a life, forget all the troubles n worries behind and focus on getting a suntan ...I'm so glad you n Pat have some lovely holidays as a family and on your own too ...thank you for all your kindness throughout the years n us all going to Christmas concert ...those were happy times then eating Pat's lovely Yorkshire puddings .
