We will miss Joan very much as a wonderful sister and aunt. She had the biggest heart and just loved to look after people. A huge loss to the world generally.

In loving memory of dear Joan. The linchpin of St Peter’s church whose presence was always there & is now sadly missed. Joan was a very kind & caring person who always made time to enquire after my Mum when she was incapacitated & rang her regularly. She was a great support to me during my time working as the priest’s housekeeper there many years ago. Rest in peace dear Joan. Reunited with Bob now. Thinking of you Trevor, Gill & all your family.

My dearest Joan
This is our last goodbye. I know God will welcome you with open arms as you welcomed everyone to St Peter’s including the many visiting priests you and Bob shared your home with.
We shared the happy times and the sad times together and pulled through.
I will miss you, everyone will miss you and the Parish Family of St Peter’s will miss you.
Rest in Peace my friend 🙏

Dear Joan, All at at St Peter's church felt your love and care. Your welcome to all so warm, you listened to everyone's problems never letting anyone know you might have troubles yourself. Those special occasions-- "Where are Joan's cakes?" Yes you always brought delights for all to enjoy, even the Bishop on his first visit to the parish commented on the wonderful cake. Personally I valued our friendship so much. So many laughs when we visited so many people and with your fantastic memory we were able to have such happy memories, even in the last few weeks. Thank you Joan for your friendship which has meant so much to me. What solace to know that now you are at peace and with those you love. Cath
