In loving memory of Ray Markham who sadly passed away on 10th December 2025
Ray was the light of many people’s lives. His sense of humour and fun was never lost even when he was poorly.
He has left a massive hole in our lives.
We are comforted in the thought of him playing ball with the dogs and enjoying his Lattes and probably a fag!
His Celebration of Life will be at Basildon crematorium, Riverview room on 30th December 2025 at 3pm. Following the celebration of life we would love for you to join us at The Rayleigh Club, (Willow Room), Hullbridge Rd, SS6 9QS to remember Ray with fun and laughter.
Please wear whatever you are comfortable in. Ray didn’t want everyone in black.
Any donations will be sent to the Dogs trust because he loved dogs. No flowers please

Throughout my life my uncle Ray has been my fun loving uncle but when I needed him with no hesitation came to guide me away from the bad side of life . I miss you so much rest easy you did your time on earth amazingly now show them up there what an amazing man you are. Love you always x

To the man who was always at the end of a phone to give advice, comfort or just to put a smile on my face by just being him.
We had a one of a kind relationship which relied solely on love and banter 24/7.
I will miss our daily talks more than anyone will ever know, it's been a pleasure to have you as not only my Dad but my friend, and I'm glad I got to return all the comfort you'd given me over the past many years, in what was our hardest year where I walked with you through every step of the journey right till the end.
Missing you so much already.
