John William Masters (11 Jan 1931 - 14 Nov 2025)

In loving memory of John William Masters LRAM retired Staff Bandmaster Royal Marines Band who sadly passed away on 14th November 2025. John's funeral service will be held at Portchester Crematorium, on Friday 19th December 2025 at 1.00pm. John served 27years having enlisted as a 14year old and was allocated a Violin and Saxophone.He was one of a very small band of musicians caught up in the Korean conflict and although served on many ships his most prestigious was the Royal Yacht Britannia, Having met and married his beloved wife Brenda in Deal they shuttled from Deal to Portsmouth and back eventually settling in Cosham. John lost Brenda after over 70 happy years of marriage this year and will now be re united.
