It is with great sadness that we share that our lovely Mum/Wife/Nanna/Aunty/Sister, Eliza Rukas, has passed away.

She was surrounded by love, and we are grateful for the time we had with her. Mum cherished her family and friends deeply, and we know many of you meant so much to her.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of her life and brought her joy over the years.

The funeral will take place at 1200 on the 9th December at Wilford Hill Crematorium, followed by a Wake at Nottingham Knight pub from 1230 onwards.

Whilst all family and friends are welcome to attend the funeral. Please keep in mind that Wilford Hill Crematorium capacity is 80 people. So there may not be room to fit everyone.

For those who have asked, we kindly request family flowers only. If friends wish to do something in her memory, a donation to a charity close to your heart — or one that reminds you of her — would be a beautiful way to honour her

Liza
Of all the special gifts in life,
however great or small.
To have you as our friend,
was the greatest gift of all.
May the winds of love blow softly, and whisper in your ear.
"We love and miss you and wish that you were still here"
Deep in our hearts your life is kept,
to love and cherish and never forget.
No more tomorrow's will we share,
but yesterday’s are always there.
A silent thought.
A secret tear,
keeps your memory forever near.

We’ve shared too many happy times together to forget you.
We’ll keep you in our hearts forever.
And that way we’ll always be together.

Shirley Pete Hollie Lee and Mia

Another Beautiful Soul in heaven. As you pass to the next life, please understand how loved and respected you were. I always referred to you as my “posh auntie “even though you was the most down to earth person anyone could ever meet. You were so kind and generous. I’m so glad you got to meet my baby, that brings me so much joy. Thinking of all the family. You were so warm and welcoming and I hope you are with the rest of the family who are looking down upon us all and that brings some comfort. Thinking of uncle Paul and the kids too. Sending love and strength. Love you always Auntie Eliza ❤️xx

I’ve tried to write this message lots of times, but no words can do you justice Liza. You were always the brightest spark in any room and always made everyone feel welcome whether you’d known them years or for an hour. Thanks for everything Liza, such a privilege to have known you. Love Marm, Emma, Isla & Georgie
