In loving memory of Claire and David Key.
Claire sadly passed away on 29th October 2025 and David on 1st November 2025.
Claire and David were active members of the Hempnall village and church communities for many years, having lived in Hempnall since 1978.
Claire had been suffering for nearly 4 years with a rare type of Motor Neurone Disease. Her life was getting harder and harder by the day. Some weeks we would have good weeks and other weeks were very traumatic. But Claire pushed on like a legend. David was always there for her, and there was never a moment where their love for each other failed.
David also had his own health problems, he was suffering with multiple cancers but he never complained. So when Claire finally took her last breath, David grieved and grieved, he spent two days without her and then died on the third.
So for everyone reading this and knew Claire and David, their funeral will be at:
Hempnall Church on Friday the 21st of November @ 2pm.
The wake will be held at the village Hall afterwards.

Dave was a work colleague over many years who with Claire became friends. We have only lovely thoughts of both with sadder memories of Claire as her health worsened. But she still retained a naughty glint in her eyes. David remained a true gentleman and lovely person to the end.
