Im so sorry to learn of the news of John’s passing. I was fortunate to have John as my percussion teacher at Trinity College of Music. It’s fair to say John was musical perfectionist, with the most incredible snare drum technique I’ve ever heard- not surprising since he often took lessons from Joe Morello!
I owe a great deal to John, an inspiration and always supportive throughout my early days at college- I still have the copy of “Rolling in rhythm” that he gave me to learn those snare drum doubles!
My sincere condolences to John’s Family and friends. xx

Jonathan was my first proper percussion teacher. His enthusiasm for his art was infectious, and I can still see his wry smile, as you got something right! ( possibly rare) I am constantly reminded of him, whatever I maybe playing, and will always be incredibly grateful for everything he shared! Much love. Xxx
