I’m deeply saddened that I cannot be there today, but please know that I am thinking of you all my family, and of Uncle Horace. He will be truly missed. I’ll always treasure our conversations and the stories you shared about the history and changes of North London, and West Indian Cricket, memories filled with warmth, wisdom, and the wonderful experiences he spoke of with such pride.
Uncle Horace was a remarkable man, and I’m grateful he is being given the send-off he so thoroughly deserves. His legacy, his humour (although others thought he was the serious one), and his love for family will stay with us always.
May he rest in peace. Love you Uncle
