May aunty Maura's memory be a blessing and comfort to you all at this sad time. Such beautiful photos and reminders of a true gentle soul, she had the kindest face and heart. We looked forward to her visits to Waterford with great anticipation over the years...

In loving memory of Maura Burrows who sadly passed away on 25th October 2025.
Maura and Fred have been supporting the charity Guide Dogs for the Blind for quite some time and enjoyed keeping up with the progress of the puppies. Maura's eyesight had been gradually deteriorating until eventually she was no longer able to see. She and Fred wanted to do something in support of those who found themselves in the same situation. And so instead of flowers, if anyone feels they would like to make a donation to Guide Dogs for the Blind in memory of Maura it would be kindly received. (Please find the link at the top of this tribute page.)
Maura suffered with Alzheimer's and two years ago this necessitated her moving in to Kathryn Court Care Home. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all they did during this time.
We warmly invite everyone to join us afterwards in the Augusta Suite at Garons Golf Complex (Golf Complex, Garon Pk, Eastern Ave, Southend-on-Sea SS2 4FA) to share stories about Maura, to celebrate her life and what she meant to each of us.
Dress code is entirely optional.
We would be most grateful if you could mark if you are able to attend, and of course please let us know if there are any allergies or dietary requirements through the contact details here or on Whatsapp.
This page also allows the sharing of photos and memories. We would love to know more about the Maura you knew.
Thank you.

My memories of Aunty are always of her permanent smile and infectious laugh. Such a gentle, kind lady who will have her place with the angels, even though she used to shut her baby brother James in the drawer when he made too much noise!
