A sad loss to all, great to have known you through our times at IBM Hursley and also, the Winchester Gauge O group.
Hoping that my donation to PATS will enable their good work to continue and not a surprise that you were one of their regular readers. So many things you have done in your long life, that many would struggle to achieve half of that and to have a happy and loving family was a real bonus.
RIP.

David was one of a small group of us retirees who for many years had met for lunch and a natter on a Thursday, David, or little Dave as we knew him, called our group the Thursday Debating Society. What a life Dave had, we enjoyed listening to his many anecdotes at our Thursday lunches. As driving became more challenging for Dave his attendance at our Thursday lunches reduced, it was a pleasure to be able to take him for a visit to his favourite pub, The Harrow Inn, just a couple of weeks before his passing, such a nice way to remember him.

Dave was a well-loved member of Winton Players. He performed for many years on the stage and helped other groups as well. He was also an excellent sound engineer and enhanced many of our productions with the quality of his amplification and sound effects. In later years he continued to support the group and was often seen in the audience. Our older members remember him with great affection.
