Vernon passed away peacefully on Sunday 28th September 2025, aged 82 years.
Serving in the Avon and Somerset Constabulary for many years as a Police Officer foremost then later Vernon was a much-respected former local Funeral Director in Porlock, founding Vernon Rush Funerals in 2004.
He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
A Funeral Service in memory of Vernon will take place at 2.30pm on Saturday 11th October 2025 at St Dubricius Church, Porlock, followed by burial at Porlock Cemetery.
Family flowers only, please. Donations in Vernon’s memory are being invited for the RNLI and the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance, can be left at the service in the donation box, given via the online tribute page here, or sent directly through the Funeral Directors.
