In loving memory of David Holland who sadly passed away on 17th September 2025

Shirley Elsby donated £20 in memory of David

It's appalling to see what Alzheimer's does to people, destroying the lives of those who have it and devastating those who share their lives. It was ghastly for my lovely uncle Dave. In his memory, I wish good luck to the Alzheimer's Society in its fantastic efforts to support research for a cure and support people affected.

So sad to hear Uncle David has passed away.
We have fond memories here in Somerset and will always think of him when looking at the garden statues he bought for mum ( his sister) which are still in pride of place in our garden !
Wish you all the best , who have been left behind.
Much love and thinking of you at this time Xx

  • David Holland, (like the recently deceased, Dickie Bird), was a man with a passion for cricket. David was a high achiever, professionally musically and practically too and was loved and admired for his talents. Mum and Shirl, in particular brought out the best in my moral and discerning uncle. He brought a lot of joy to Mum, through his witty repartee and practical help. throughout her life and right into her last few years. I would like to thank him posthumously, for remembering my family's countless birthdays, Christmas and occasions (and for throwing good parties). Condolences to Jean and Andrew and their families. I hope David is basking now, in a well deserved heaven.
