Christine MaySarcoma UK
Funeral Director
In loving memory of Christine May Lone who sadly passed away on 14th September 2025.
As you know, Mum fought a very brave and courageous battle with stoicism for years with Leiomyosarcoma cancer (a very rare soft tissue cancer) and showed great resilience and strength right through to the end.
After being in hospital for 8 weeks, she came home and spent her last month at home with us which were her final wishes.
Khalid, Rob and myself (her daughter Becky) have set up this page for her dear friends and family as an opportunity to write any messages for mum if you wish to do so.
Mum was so full of life and full of joy and we know she touched the hearts of so many and she will be missed but also remembered for the wonderful, caring and kind person she was.
We are very grateful as a family to have been surrounded by and reminded of her dear friends and family who thought so much of her as a friend, a colleague and through different walks of life with mum.
If you would like to make a donation to a charity instead of donating flowers, this can also be done here. We have set up the charity www.sarcoma.org.uk. (The bone and soft tissue cancer charity)
Sarcoma UK is the only charity focusing on all types of sarcoma.
There will be a wake after the funeral service which will be at around 4.30 pm. This will take place at The Bridgewood Manor Hotel and Spa, Walderslade Woods, Chatham. ME59AX.
Thank you for all your love and support, we know that mum was so loved and cherished.

Rest in peace my beautiful mum and my bestest friend 🥰💕😘🩷
I came to visit mum in April’24 with both Xavier & Ezra when we were in NZ because we didn’t know how much longer mum had left. Mum did so well managing to go out with us & they called themselves the fingerless globe club because Ezra couldn’t say glove!
Mum loved her grandson’s so much. Mum came out by herself to New Zealand in May 2023 and described this time as her most happiest 10 weeks with us,making memories with Xavier and Ezra. This is mum and Xavier having a great time at Crystal Mountain! x x x
Chris, it was such a pleasure to have got to meet you a number of times here in NZ. Your passion, kindness and care for your family and others was enviable. How lucky we all were to have met you. Rest easy xxxx
You were such a wonderful, fun & kind Nanny. You know that I’ll keep your memory alive for the boys. I know that they meant the world to you & they were so lucky to have you in their life, you loved them so much & tried so much to stay here for them x x x
My beautiful best friend and most gorgeous Mum. I miss you so much. What wonderful memories we had together and what a privilege to be your daughter 💕💕
When aunty came to visit me in margate, such a special day. We went to a beautiful little tea shop and had tea and cake and chatted for hours! Was such a special day I hold close to my heart 💕💕💕💕
Chris sent this to me in July just before she and Khalid visited us at our home. It was something I bought her some time ago and I know she treasured this as a token of our beautiful friendship. I will think of her always as a beautiful twinkling star.
