I've still not processed your passing. It's hard to put into words what you meant to me. As an adult we drifted apart, But I have so many little special memories as a child that will stay forever (like sat on your lap in your armchair finishing your sugary teas) You took on my dad as your own,and I will forever be grateful to have been a part of your family. Thanks for keeping me out of trouble and giving me the talks I needed. Rest peacefully Grandad Colin x

This is a hard post and not one I expected to have to make. It's taken me while to figure out what to say and how to say it. Over 20 years ago you welcomed me into your family and immediately made me feel welcome. I could have asked you for anything and everything and you would have given it me, but I asked you for your daughter. You said yes and I promise you I will take care of her and your grandchildren until the day we meet again. I'm sure when my time comes, you'll meet me up there with my mum to take the mick out of my botched DIY jobs that I've attempted to do since you weren't around to do for me! You may have been my father-in-law, but the 'in law' part is just a legality. Sleep well mate. You pies!

My Darling Col,
Our life, our love, our memories, where do I begin….. a love story like no other, a whirlwind of time. We shared an unfathomable love that cannot be described.
You walked into my life and we never looked back. You gave me your loving heart until the very end, and with me it will stay forever.
My world has been shattered, It simply wasn’t your time to leave, that wasnt supposed to be the end of our story, we had more to give and there were still things we needed to say.
Cherishing so many memories and the happiest times of our lives, grateful for each and every moment we shared. Age never defined us.
Though broken, my heart is yours forever my darling and I’ll wait patiently until I’m back in your arms.
Love you endlessly
Your Kel xxxxxxxx❤️❤️❤️
