Today would have been your 77th birthday! It’s so hard not to be planning to see you or organise your birthday cake and presents. As your only daughter—and as you always joked, it was my job to make sure you got what you wanted and loved—I hope I did a good job!

Today always meant so much. Now, it only brings us tears, wishing that God could have spared you for just a few more years. We are thinking of you today, Mum.

I know that’s nothing new; you were our thoughts of yesterday and you’ll be in tomorrow’s too. The memories we will cherish forever.

They always make us smile, but just know that we wish we could hold you close again. If only for a while, but until the day that we unite, we will no longer be apart. But until that day, remember, Mum, Nanny, Nan Nan Dot, you’re always in our hearts. I hope Nanny, Gug and Mi Nan Boo are looking after you. xxx

Happy 77th birthday, Mum. xxx Love you 😢🌏💔

Mummy, it feels like you’ve been away forever. Fifteen weeks have passed, and my heart aches a little more each day. We’re just three days away from Christmas, and I can’t help but think of how much I miss you. You were there for Christmas, and I spent so many Christmases with you, 45th out of the 47. It’s just not the same without you! We all miss you terribly. Today, I was at your place, helping Dad with some wrapping and we came across a label you had written on for your great grandson Oaklan and it choked me up. I miss you so much and you would say love you baby girl X
