In loving memory of Keith Walter Greenwood who sadly passed away on 6th September 2025.
Born in Wigan, Lancashire, he always insisted on being called Wally to his work colleagues, friends and family. After working at Pilkington’s and British Leyland in the North West, he moved down to Essex in the 70s with his young family to work for the Ford Motor Company at Trafford House Basildon and later at Dunton Research and Engineering Centre.
He was always keen on taking part in all kinds of sports and physical activities but unfortunately was diagnosed with Parkinsons in his early 50s and within a few years had to retire on ill health grounds. During the last 20 years his health had declined and in the last few years he was unable to participate in any sporting activity and resorted to watching lots of sport on telly. Parkinson’s affected his ability to walk unaided and as his speech became weaker he found it hard to communicate.
Any donations to the Cure Parkinsons Charity would be gratefully received.

I have fond memories of Wally from when Phil and I were kids and playing football with Elmwood Colts. I will remember Wally as nice and humorous man who will be sorely missed.

I have fond memories of Wally, both as a college at work and later as a golfing and 10 pin bowling partner and at our old farts monthly lunches until his ill health stopped him. He will be missed.
