In loving memory of Lance McCoubrey who sadly passed away on 7th September 2025. He was a loving Father of his 3 children Lara, Drew and Kean. Known by many for his love for playing rugby and also through his work on the nightclub doors as well as Plaxtons and later Swift Caravans.
The funeral will be held at Scarborough Woodlands crematorium on Wednesday 8th October at 14:00. The service will be followed by a gathering at Scarborough Rugby Club where there will be some light refreshments.
We would love to see as many faces as possible to share a drink along with your memories and stories of a wonderful Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend.
We ask for Family Flowers only but we urge anyone who is able, to make a donation to St Catherine’s hospice who provided exceptional care in his final days.

Lance, I will remember you as a giant with an iron grip, but a gentle one who will leave a big hole in the lives of so many people. We disagreed on a lot, but we never fell out and I think we agreed on the things that really matter - family, friendship and being true to what you believed in. You left far too soon. Josie is very sad to hear of Lances passing also - he has been a kind neighbour for 30+ years, mum said they often spoke while he was walking his dog who he loved dearly xx
