Dear Rita, Robin and all the Worthy Family,
We were so sorry to hear of John’s passing. Sincere condolences to you all at this sorrowful time.
John was an incredible man, full of cheerful humanity, old fashioned friendly charm, chatty, funny, lively, caring, brimmed with positivity, interesting and always with a mischievous smile.
It was a privilege to have known John and spend so many enjoyable days at Cheltenham racecourse talking about horses, jockeys, racehorse trainers and the great banter over the Prestbury Cup. John will be deeply missed in the members’ bar at Cheltenham racecourse.
Away from the racecourse, John was a successful businessman, he had an inspiring attitude, great enthusiasm and sound business acumen. He had an outstanding knowledge of so many subject matters. His genuine interest in real people made him so special and his passing is one of England’s losses.
We cherished our friendship dearly with John and he will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Mags & Denis Coffey (your loyal Irish friends)
