I am so sorry that we were not able to join so as to celebrate your mother's life on 25 September due to being in the US on that date. A very special lady who was the heartbeat of the Fidelio Singers and so much else. Sending wishes and love to you both. Ashley & Robyn

What an extraordinary woman Margaret was! I met her when I was 11 and have never met anyone like her since. Being in the newly-formed Fidelio Singers was such a joyous, and formative, experience, and I still feel now the impact of her commitment to vocal knowledge and understanding.

So many memories! Margaret took a very shy and reticent teenager and helped me to discover the joy of singing. Grateful for the fun and laughter that was Fidelio singers and the memories of many outfits!

Margaret taught me so much when I was the accompanist to the Fidelio Singers in the mid 1980’s - my abiding memory of her was setting off at an incredible pace in concerts when the accompaniment was difficult to say the least !! I never knew whether it was the Adrenalin kicking in or a challenge to me to keep up😊
A lovely lady who was a joy to work with & who taught so many singers, young & not so young the finer details of being great performers
RIP Margaret you will be much missed in our musical world xxx🥰

Many fond memories of Auntie Margaret. My favourite being her resting my baby son on her chest, singing a long, deep vibrato and declaring to everyone in the room, "he likes it!"
