In loving memory of John Philip Sawyer who sadly passed away on 17th August 2025 peacefully in his sleep.
Family and friends are deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death.
John was a life long Westham fan and a keen England supporter be it Football, Rugby and cricket. He was even a fan of American football and would stay up through the early hours just to watch the game! John also enjoyed a good game of bingo.
In Johns younger years he was a keen motorcyclist and would enjoy rides out with friends going to places like the Isle of Wight, whilst John stopped riding in his thirties he still kept his leather jacket and helmet to this day.
John was a husband, loving dad and granddad to his eight grandchildren. He enjoyed social occasions (Any excuse for a beer and a curry) and had many friends who he loved to socialise with especially from his Barclays Bank days.
John will be sadly missed by all who knew him, all family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the celebration of Johns life.
We will continue to hold John in our thoughts and in our hearts.
To a very special friend Johnny, you've left an empty space inside me that will never be filled. Thanks for all the endless laughs on the good days and even on the bad ones !
