I worked with Martin in the old days back in Dewsbury before he set up the badge business. We then moved to Mirfield and had a blast for a few years. I will always remember Martin fondly. He taught me a lot. Jim.

It was a privilege to work with Martin for over six years at ML Badges. He hired me straight out of university and took me under his wing as a young designer, teaching me invaluable professional — and life — lessons that I’ll never forget. Martin did so much for so many, from his family and friends to his colleagues and clients. He will be greatly missed. “The proper function of man is to live, not to exist.”
