In loving memory of Polly Sonmez who sadly passed away on 24th July 2025.

She was a fantastic mum, a daughter, a sister, and a friend to many. Polly always managed to bring a smile to our faces; whether something she said, something she did or something she made. Her time with us has ended far too soon and she will be missed by all that knew her. She brought a light to our lives that we didn't know we needed.

We love you xxx

Pauline you were such a good friend to my daughter Susan when you both started Mottingham Girls school we had just moved into the area and you became her first friend here. You both kept in touch over the years and when you married and had families of your own they to became friends. Will remember your lovely smile and sense of humour and your kind words and flowers when my husband died. You were taken far too soon and will be sadly missed.

Pauline and her boys - during my first visit to England to see her. I had the best time. Memories I will cherish forever.

I have been friends with Pauline since the mid 80s. From the very first postcard she sent to me, I knew that I loved her sense of humor and that we’d be fast friends. We stayed in touch over the years and met in person several times in Florida and a few trips that I made to England. We touched base for every birthday and Christmas and she sent me the best presents and often things that she made, which I will always treasure. Our friendship was very special to me and I will cherish it always, she was always one of my very best friends and the distance between us may have been vast in reality but we were never far from each other in our hearts. My deepest condolences to Cem, Sam and Eren - she always spoke of you boys often and you were her life. And also to Nigel who she loved dearly, too.

Pauline and me (Pam) when we first met face to face in Florida. We had already been pen pals for several years. This was around 1989.
