Rob 4th left, back row. When we worked at Blythe & Rob started the ‘Wear 70’s Style Ties’ which was funny & took the piss out of the rule that lab staff had to wear shirts & ties to work.

Rob and I would be seen together at Locking. In fact as go as far as to say we were like brothers.

Rob got me into The Smiths and I got him into a tumble dryer. I certainly left a mark on him… well the tumble dryer did.

Often seen together laughing at the silly names of items such as duffle coats, rubber dingy and the like.

You will be missed.

Its with the heaviest heart , im sending my deepest and sincere condolences to you and the rest of Robs family and friends, Lynn.
Memories flood my mind of times spent on detachment or roulement or just kicking around Brize Norton , with Bobby

Sprogging our new course at RAF Locking as a PT Instructor…and being one of the original Tumble Dryer Massive !
The outrageous shirts and lycra shorts. Ciders at the bar…
Fishing trips, with Rob tripping over all the equipment or slipping into the water or losing a fortunes worth of fishing tackle casting into the tree’s. Sharing bottles of whisky and gin .
Wild goose chases in Kuwait looking for cheap PlayStation games, ending up in some seedy back water souks surrounded by unfriendlies . Initiating the new arrivals on the enormous swing at the theme park. Chugging on the Shi-sha in the Mall. Scuba diving in the Red Sea ….
All the fun of the Bop …but Rob was much more…as you all certainly know .
Rest in everlasting peace Bobby…your light will shine on , you Crazy Diamond
My friend , comrade and brother x
