Tally was born in Birmingham in 1958 to Betty and Len Jones. He was one of 8 siblings. A hard childhood saw him move through Birmingham to Wales in the Barnardo’s homes for children. He never gave up hope of a better life.

He found his love of work through the inspiration of his brother in law Malcolm whom he loved dearly. He worked all around the UK, mainly within the steel industry, refining his skills in conveyor systems largely for car manufacturers including Rover, Land Rover and BMW.

He was extremely proud of the life that he and his wife, Myra had created together, and she will continue to live everyday as they talked about. Towards the end of his life they were closer than ever, Myra was his legs, and he was the driver.

His passion, worth ethic and desire for life passed through to all who knew him but especially Children. He always spoke with such joy at how hard they worked and he enjoyed many holidays, meals out and celebrations with them. His children blessed him with lots of grandchildren who will miss him dearly.

A kind, honest, gentle giant and a legend have all been words to describe him since he passed. No words could sum up how highly he was thought of.

Uncle Tal as we (Aaron and I) knew you…you were an amazing person to know, you always wanted the best for anybody and everybody. We have many fond memories with you, from holidays in Florida to you meeting my daughter Harper, I’m so heart broken that you never got to meet my baby girl Olivia.

It’s an honour to have known you.

I will always choose love, kindness and generosity in life, following your example.

You will always be loved and remembered.

Dad,
Loosing you is the hardest thing i’ve ever felt and to know that we don’t have you here to love us anymore is so painful. I promise to keep your memory alive everyday with your boys, they adored you and everything you did with them.
Life will never be the same, it will always hurt knowing you’re not with us and I can only hope you really are somewhere more peaceful than here and that one day I may see you again. I love you so much, and always will.
X

It was very sad and hard to believe, that my uncle Tally had passed away. Still in shock and very sad. Tally is a real giant in our family to say the least. I am very proud of what he has achieved throughout his time here, and feel deeply honoured having such a kind and caring uncle. I have fond memories from a Saturday job Tally gave me whilst still at school, working at Reagaid engineering, painting steelwork for various jobs. I have a lot to thank you for, as you also helped shape my life. I know you loved all your family deeply and many many friends.
I will miss you with all my heart uncle Tal. Love Jason Xxx
