On 12th August 2025, in hospital, of Thornhill, aged 93 years, Norman, beloved husband of the late Jean, much loved dad of Julie and father in law of Brian, proud and loving grandad of Robert and Carol. Bonus Grandad Norman to Mia. Thought of with affection by Faye, Paul, Ian, Catherine and PCSO Julie Buxton.
Funeral service will be held at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium on Wednesday 27th August 2025 at 2pm. Friends and family please gather at the crematorium. Family flowers only, donations in Norman’s memory may be made online or placed in the collection box provided for the benefit of Thornhill Mining Memorial Wheel.

You could not meet a lovelier couple than Jean and Norman. I first met Norman when he told me I was too small to be in the police, that was more than 15 years ago and we have stayed friends since. I am honoured to say they were part of my life and will miss the time we spent over a cup of tea.

Norman was a true gentleman, I had the pleasure of knowing him for alot of years & also being part of the family in that time too. Will be missed for his sense of humour too. Going to be reunited with his soul mate Jean, like two peas in a pod. God bless
