You were some crack. Even when you told me the same story or joke you managed to raise a laugh. Little did you know that on some of those many encounters you lifted my spirits beyond belief. I hope that you are with your beloved Staffies again. May God keep you in his infinite care and love

I used to take the dogs for a walk for 30 minutes but not get home for 2 hours cause I'd bumped in Jackie, never a wasted 2 hours though as I'd get stories, facts and a good conversation! The Shankill will be a lonelier place without him. You'll be missed Jackie rest in peace

I wandered many rivers with Jackie, consumed as he was for the passion of fly fishing for trout. They were happy times he was a great person to share time with, happy always ready with a joke. Sadly there was distance between us since we emigrated to New Zealand in 1972, but we kept in touch and we caught up on our numerous trips back to NI. Rest in Peace Jackie.
