I met Peter in 2013 on my 1st Le Mans trip & instantly found he was an unforgettable character. Peter generously welcomed me ( & many others ) to the infamous La Goudiere where we spent many a long hour participating in his favourite pastimes;…sharing a fine red wine or malt whiskey in the presence of good company.
Peter was a truly seasoned conversationalist & had some wonderful favourite subjects which many of us enjoyed hearing about time after time. He also perfected the art of participating in ‘banter’ & took it in his stride.
My lasting memory of Peter will be his love of fine food; & in particular Seafood …. especially Oysters. He was famous for preparing a mixed seafood starter at La Goudiere on the last evening of our La Mans excursion ( sometimes for up to 20 people) ;…& Woe Betide anyone who interfered with his preparations !!!
I was honoured to know Peter & considerer him a good friend. He will never be forgotten.

RIP Peter,
Peter was a passionate and dedicated Freemason and was very kind and supportive to me in my early days over 30 years ago, but more importantly Peter was a gentleman and a really good bloke.
