I had the pleasure of working with Joan for a year before she retired. She looked after me in my first year as a teacher; always so kind, caring and making me smile! More recently, I would sometimes bump into Joan at the shop on my lunch break and we would always have a quick chat and those few minutes would always brighten my day. Sending lots of love to all of your family and friends. Rest In Peace Joan xxxxxx

My childhood memories are full of times I'd be at your house, playing in the garden and eating your delicious chocolate cake! So many happy times that I will remember forever.

My thoughts are with Jeff, Gary and Laura, and the heartbreak they will be feeling at this truly sad time xx

I had the pleasure of working with Joan over 50 years ago when we were typist in the City centre. She was funny, kind and so easy to work with. Saddened to hear of her passing. Condolences to Jeff and family.

My beautiful, strong and caring Mum. There are no words to describe how utterly heartbroken I am.
I’m not sure how my life will be the same without you but although you have left us, our memories of you will live on forever and we will love you always.

Mum, Nanna Joan, We will all miss you terribly.
Thank you for being such a kind and loving mum. Words can’t really express how I feel and all the ways I will miss you but you know my heart and you held a special place in it as my lovely mum.
We will always treasure the memories of our family nights, with meals, wine, beers, Sam’s cocktails, the laughter, the games, and the way you joined in with such a wholehearted spirit.
The boys loved listening to you reminisce about your childhood and other funny stories. They would always greet you with a hug and leave you with a ‘love you’, as you were a special grandparent to them all.
Our family holidays together were filled with fun, great food, wine, and dancing. Thank you for those happy times.
You have left a huge hole in all our lives, but your memory will be a blessing we carry in our hearts forever. Rest peacefully, Mum/Joan/ Nanna Joan x
