Dearest Ilse
Since you have been gone, I think of you a lot. You stay in my heart and my memories, where I love you just as much as I did when you were here. I think of warmth and kindness and love, I think of your voice and your smile. I think of lying next to you when you were unwell, talking whilst you held my hand. I think of our day out in April, admiring all the flowers, and sitting together peacefully having lunch. I think of the love and joy of making things that you share with me, and whenever I create something, I think of you. Thank you for all the small moments that I will treasure forever, the little memories that mean so much. Simple things like talking to you over the phone, spending time in your beautiful garden, and just being at your house with you. So much of you is here in all the tiny, amazing things you have made. Your impact on me has been incredible, for the love you have shared with me but also for witnessing the love you have for Grandad. I am so grateful to keep you in my heart.”
