In loving memory of David Mckay Cormack who sadly passed away on 11th July 2025 having battled bravely for several years with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

The Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday 6th August at Test Valley crematorium at 11am.

Donations in memory of David to Oakhaven Hopsice who provided incredible care and support for David throughout his illness and for the family in the few days he was at the hospice and to Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis, a national UK charity who bring people together to drive change so more people affected by pulmonary fibrosis (or lung scarring) can live well for longer. We have specified that the donations go towards research to bring hope for new and future treatments for this devastating disease.

David will be greatly missed by everyone. He's been a dedicated and passionate member of South Hants Tennis Club for many years. David will be remembered for his friendly, helpful and enthusiastic personality. We shall miss his sense of humour! I've enjoyed many hours playing tennis with David and Le, which give me some lovely memories to cherish.
Our thoughts are with Le and her family.

Rest in peace David. You will be missed a lot among all of us in SHLTC. I will always remember that you were always ready to help in my first days at the club, first days in the country. I also enjoyed those many doubles matches were, fortunately for me, we were partners and we could get to know each other better. Always with a smile in your face and a great good sense of humour. All my support to Le and you children in these difficult moments.

Myself and Diane are really sadbthat we can not attend the service in person. Our friendship goes back many years but unfortunaly over the past three years due to the ill health of both Dave and Diane we have only managed to keep in touch by phone and laterly whatsap. Thank you for allowing us watch the service and rest assured a lit bit of York will be there in spirit if not in body.

Rest in peace Mate
