In loving memory of David Webb who sadly passed away on 17th July 2025
With great sadness we announce that David Fredrick Webb born in Hampton Wick Surrey on 13th November 1942, passed away peacefully at the Mountbatten Hospice Southampton on 17th July 2025 surrounded by love. David had suffered with prostate cancer and had been a successful recipient of treatment for over 23 years living a full life until it finally overwhelmed him in recent months.
Meeting Barbara in Kingston Upon Thames they fell in love almost instantly and were lifelong and loving partners. They married in Barbara’s hometown of Walton-Upon-Thames shortly after and before long welcomed their first daughter Susan. David was a force of nature and was determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. After relocating to Southampton for work and housing opportunities, two more daughters Angela and Christine were born, completing the family unit.
A strong, kind, loving and supportive father, David recognized the powerful benefits of a good education and his daughters and subsequently his grandchildren have all been inspired to reach their full potential by being empowered with a varying array of knowledge and skills.
David’s passions included his lifelong commitment to fitness where fellow gym goers who were many generations younger marveled at his ability to bench press his own body weight and the Freemasons who David admired for their selfless approach to charitable causes and service as well as mastering and enacting the ancient and complex rituals.
David also realized his ambition of running a small property business and as an accomplished craftsman was often throwing himself into a project related to one of his properties. However, David’s true love and passion was his family and grandchildren who meant more to him than anything else. His surviving family members include his beloved wife Barbara and daughters Susan, Angela and Christine as well as his grandchildren Maximilien, Alexander, Marcus, Harry, Millie, Issac and Rosie, who will all deeply miss his unwavering dedication to providing them with unconditional love, a gentle spirit and steady presence. David’s unique journey as well as his resilience is a life well lived a legacy cherished and a love that continues to inspire!
