If there’s one thing we know for certain, it’s that Keely didn’t just walk into a room — she arrived. Usually about 45 minutes late, in a whirlwind of energy, laughter, and probably looking for her keys.
Keely was a woman with a personality bigger than life itself. Loud, loyal, loving, and utterly incapable of whispering. She loved hard, laughed loud, and if you ever found yourself on the wrong side of justice — she’d be the first to square up and defend the underdog. Usually with a five-minute rant, and a 17-minute voice note to follow. God help you if you were on 1% battery.
She was the proud mum to Cree, Coby, Ryar, and Remy — (her favourite unpaid therapists). And her beautiful grandchildren; Cree,Teddy and Kenny. Every part of her being was wired for love: messy, unconditional, hilarious love. She also adored her Mummy Maxine and her 2 sisters; Jacoba and Hayley.
Keely enjoyed music and singing… though it must be said, her voice was more ambitious than in tune. But did that stop her from belting out ballads in the kitchen like she was headlining Wembley? Absolutely not.
Organisation? Not really her thing. Calendars, clocks, and common schedules all meant very little to Keely. She existed in her own timezone — Keely Standard Time — and frankly, the rest of us were just trying to keep up.
But beneath the chaos and the comedy was a heart that beat with pure gold. She was the one you called when you needed a pep talk, advice or someone to turn up and save the day. She didn’t just show up for people — she stood up for them. And if you were lucky enough to be loved by her, you knew it. Fiercely. Loudly. And with about 43 exclamation marks.
Keely leaves behind stories that will be retold for generations, laughter that still echoes in our memories, and a legacy of love that will never go out of style.
Even if she was late to everything — we know she was always right on time when it truly mattered.
Rest easy now, our queen of voice notes and karaoke chaos. Heaven’s just got a whole lot louder — and a whole lot lovelier. 🤍
