Stan, thank you for being part of my childhood. From the endless pick ups from Nottingham after a night out, to driving us up and down the country for dance competitions. Alongside memories of the numerous projects and time down the allotment with the chickens.

Rest in peace.

Love Katie, Matt, Aubree and Austin xxxx

My dad enjoyed spending time in nature and looking after animals in many ways throughout his life, and would have loved to know his loved ones are giving to the local wildlife trust in his memory.

His passion for the outdoors and animals will live on as we will take our son, Oscar - his grandson - on many grandad inspired excursions throughout his childhood, telling many lovely memories and stories along the way.

Nichola, Gareth, and Oscar xxx

My dad spent so much of his life looking after animals and enjoying nature in many ways, he would be so happy that his loved ones are giving to the local wildlife trust in his memory.

Stan was my younger brother who will always remain in my heart as a gentle, kindly presence. In times of need he was always there and quietly helped me. Whilst he’s free now of all pain and confusion - I sorely miss him. However, his few months in his care home ensured his family had a precious few more months with him. Rest in peace now Stan, doing your fishing and enjoying the company of those herons. Xx

Stan was a wonderful man and friend. He was kind and cared about people. He shared his great sense of humour and his endless knowledge and love of nature and chickens with his allotment friends. He was a real joy to know and he will be well remembered. Love and thoughts to his family xxx

My big brother Stan. Unfailingly kind and supportive to me always. I am sure that those people fortunate to know him well will, like me, hold him dear in their hearts forever for the many reasons that made him a such a man. Rest in peace.

  • I’m sure Stan won’t mind me thanking Linda for all her loving efforts and life skills that enabled him to get in his nursing home and have the best quality time there. Her visits to Stan there, always with a tasty goodie of his choice and, patiently explaining all manner of things he found confusing as his memory gradually left him was humbling but grateful to behold. Also, her timing at letting Stan’s family know when his time with us was short, enabled them all to be with him at the end. I’m so, so proud of you Linda. You were an amazing sister and cater for your brother. Love you lots, Dorothy xx
