We couldn’t ask for nicer neighbours than Alan and Madeline. They were the first neighbours to welcome us to Portland Road. We remember celebrating their 40th anniversary with them and we were lucky to be invited when we have just moved to the area.
Alan was a kind, gentle man who always had a positive outlook in life. He was generous and we will treasure the planters and the charcuterie board he created for us.
He had a caring heart and always asked how our families were.
We will miss his cheerfulness and his infectious laugh. His cheekiness.
We will miss our chats over the fence, popping round for coffee.
RIP, Alan, you will be missed by many and will be forever in our hearts.
