Violet Elaine Goodall (Tilley) (30 Jun 1926 - 19 Dec 2015)

In loving memory of Violet Elaine Goodall (Tilley) who sadly passed away peacefully in her sleep on 19th December 2015

She was a loving Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother and will be missed by all the family, young and old.
Mum took great delight in seeing her Grand & Great Grandchildren and enjoyed their company whenever they visited.

Violet was born on 30th June 1926 in Sanawar, India.
This is where she grew up and went to school in The Lawrence Royal Military School, Sanawar.
She was in Lawrence House 35 – 43
Mum had many fond memories of School, Sanawar and indeed India.
It is where she spent all of her formative life until returning to England, and it continued to play a big part in the rest of her life as well.
Sanawar was as in mum, as Tilley is in Sanawar

Violet was the daughter of Sergeant & Mrs Tilley and was the last surviving member of 3 sons and 4 daughters. She was also part of a much larger family in the form of the Old Sanawarians, of whom there were many.
She ran the Old Sanawarian Association (OSA) for several years until it's end,
and worked hard to organise the OSA reunions and to produce an annual newsletter, keeping OS in touch around the globe.

Mum severed in the WRNS after leaving school in India and on her return to England and stayed with them until leaving to start a family of her own.
