In Loving Memory of John William Haynes
Who passed away peacefully on 30th June 2025 with his children around him.
A devoted and supportive husband to our late mum, Pauline, and a loving, caring Dad to us – Diane, Paul, and Nigel.
John was also a proud Grandad to Scott, Ryan, Callum, and Keeley, and a cherished Great-Grandad to Poppy, Max, and Romy.
He filled our lives with love, strength, and kindness. His warmth, wisdom, and sense of humour will forever remain in our hearts.
Reunited with Mum, now both at peace.
Forever loved. Forever missed.

Family flowers only.

In Loving Memory of John
We were truly blessed to have John and Pauline as our neighbours. From the moment we moved in 7 years ago, they welcomed us with open arms, offering warmth, kindness, and a helping hand. Whether it was advice on home renovations or lending us a tool, John was always there with a smile and a generous spirit. His garage was something to behold, every tool was perfectly in its place, a little quirk we loved. You could always count on him to have just the right tool for the job!

After Pauline passed, John took his love of cooking to new heights. He was always so proud to share what he had been making, whether it was dinners, snacks, or cakes for the week. And, of course, he was always ready with a tray of freshly made sausage rolls to offer. It was his way of showing love, and we’ll forever remember his thoughtfulness and the joy he took in sharing his creations.

As our family grew, John embraced his new role as "Grandad John" with pride. He built a special bond with our boys, always asking about their days, celebrating their milestones, and remembering the little things that made them who they are. He was always the first friendly face we’d see when pulling into the driveway, and our boys would rush over to greet him, Luke sharing stories from nursery, and little Alex, ready with his high-fives. Those moments will forever stay in our hearts.

John’s kindness was never in short supply. He was always ready for a chat over the garden fence, helping us with advice, and offering support whenever we needed it. He made an effort to connect, to listen, and to be there, always ready with a laugh or a story to share. Recently, John and Luke worked together on a gardening project, something we’ll treasure forever, a reminder of the love and care John poured into everything he did.

John wasn’t just a neighbour; he was a true friend. His humour, generosity, and kind heart will be remembered always. We are so grateful for the love he showed our family and the time he spent with us. He will forever be Grandad John to our boys, and we will always cherish the memories we made together.

With all our love,
Rob, Suman, Luke and Alex
X

To the family of John,
We are so sorry for your loss and thinking of you all.
John was a lovely, kind, thoughtful man. Our classroom is right opposite his house and he would have often wave to all the children when playing outside. We loved his company at many events in school, including our nativity performance and our street party to celebrate the Jubilee. His knowledge of plants and flowers was amazing! He regularly invited us over to collect plants and veg he had been growing in his greenhouse & would always ask if the children are enjoying the learning from watching them flourish. We loved making cards and pictures for him to say thank you. A lot of our plants we have currently are what John gave us & we plan to repot them in our new EYFS garden. Alongside this we plan to plant a sunflower each year in memory of John.
In our thoughts and prayers,
Staff of St John’s class

The last conversation we had was you showing me your garden and that your sunflowers were one yellow and one red you were so proud of them. Also how the Squirrels kept getting the bird seed and we laughed as I said let them don’t be so mean haha❤️
