Our condolences to Henry's family and friends at this difficult time.

On behalf of all the patients and staff at St Leonard's Hospice thank you for kindly choosing the Hospice to receive donations in memory of Henry. We are forever grateful for the generosity that is shown to us, without which the work of the Hospice would not be possible. Thank you for honouring the memory of Henry in such a thoughtful manner and in turn, helping us to continue caring for others.
With warmest regards,
Amanda

Bar wall pub crawl. Not sure who's idea it was, (could have been Henry's)? June 2015. An amazing day, got messy towards the end.

My housewarming party, January 2014. Absolute chaos, would probably be the two words I’d use to describe this night. Fond memories Henry!

Henry was one of the first people in my nursing career that made me feel like I could have any confidence in myself as a nurse. He always pushed me, and positively challenged me to push myself to be better. He was hilarious, so dry and his dark sense of humour was sometimes what kept you going on a night shift! He once came dressed as a dead hedgehog (roadkill) to my house warming party and it’s probably my most ridiculous memory of him (will add a picture). He was always good for a laugh, always there when you needed him, and I am so sad to hear of his sad passing. The world is at a loss without him. Lots of love to Maggie & his beautiful girls xxx

Remembering the times …
The time we got stuck (snuck into) the chair room at playschool and the stacks of chairs collapsed and we had to be rescued.
The time we were late to class at the primary school playing in the snow and it slid off the roof burying you more than me.
Getting Cod-liver oil each morning from your mum because it was winter.
Sitting on Smig’s wall each morning waiting to go to the comp...
and many more moments in between.
Thank you Henry.

  • Ian. It is so hard to believe how long ago that was. Young innocent times with such a close strong bond.
