11th October 1941 – 7th June 2025
Terry, known to many as Ted, passed away peacefully on 7th June 2025 at the age of 83.
Born on 11th October 1941, Ted began his working life in the Merchant Navy, travelling the world and collecting stories he’d recall to family and friends. After his time at sea, he settled into life on land and worked as a postman - always reliable, friendly, and always happy to chat on his rounds.
Ted had a great sense of humour, a generous heart, and a deep love for his family. He was a cherished husband to Violet, father to Tracy, grandad to Rianna, and great-grandad to Ivy.
A funeral service will be held on Monday 30th June at 1pm at Worthing Crematorium, followed by a wake at The Crown Inn in Cootham. Family and friends are warmly invited to come together, share memories, and celebrate the life of a kind and wonderful man who meant so much to so many.
We as a family request no flowers at the funeral, and instead request a small donation to one of the two charities that sat close to his heart, The Salvation Army and the PDSA.
Ted will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered always.
