Gordon, Darren, Melanie, Joseph, Thomas and Katrina are absolutely devastated to post that in the early hours of 7 June 2025 Carole sadly passed away.

Many of you will know that Carole had a number of health problems which sadly became too difficult for her to overcome.

Carole was so courageous as she helped to prepare us for her passing with humour, love and affection.

Words cannot describe how much Carole will be missed. From all the messages it’s clear that she was very much loved. She was an amazing Mum, Wife, Nana and friend. We are so proud of Carole.

Mum’s wish was to be pain free as she went to sleep and drifted off as she described it. This was achieved for mum and she was utterly beautiful as she passed.

Please use this page to share memories of Carole and any photographs.

It was Carole's wish for family flowers only. If anyone would like to make a donation in Carole's memory, her chosen charity is Garden House Hospice.

As Carole loved flowers we would encourage anyone who would like to, to wear a flower of their choice that brings you joy.

Please do not feel obligated to wear black. Bright colours are welcomed. Please be comfortable.

We hope as many people who knew and loved Carole can join us at her funeral on 27 June 2025 2pm.

A lovely lady so talented and full of life. We had such good times together at the moakes medical centre. Carole made numerous birthday cakes for all the staff in line with their hobbies and fashions, there was nothing Carole couldn't be challenged with. Rest in piece Carole 💔

Dear Aunty Carole,
I always considered you the strictest of all my aunties, but always a lot of fun too. Growing up I remember coming to stay with you when Paul had to go in for an op. You were so good to look after me, and even though I pulled Mel’s pigtails and you told me off, I still loved being with you and the family!
As I got older, I learnt to appreciate your wicked sense of humour, your marvellous creativity, and your fierce loyalty to the family. Always welcoming, and loving with many a ‘family occasion’ spent with you, Tina, Jill and my Mum, conspiring and ‘cackling’ in the kitchen, usually with a glass of something in hand! Always at the centre of the fun, you were all great role models to all of us kids. (Except perhaps that Christmas, when I was highly critical of your trifle, and between you all you egged Tina on to turn the trifle upside down on my head!).
In spite of that, 😉 I feel honoured to have had you as my Aunty, and thank you for loving me for all of my life.
I just hope you’re dancing the night away.
Gone but not forgotten. Love, Karen xxx

Carole and I first met when we worked at Fortnum & Masons in London. We were 17 and have been friends for 60 years! I moved to USA, but we continued keeping in contact. We met up a few years ago in London (my husband said we never stopped talking for 7 hrs!) He could not believe we could talk so much! She made me a beautiful bouquet of flowers made out of sugar that is still perfect and will treasure. Even though she had some health issues, she was still her funny, lovely, chatty self. I will miss you, my dear friend. xxx Sending hugs to Gordon and the family.

  • Beautiful! Carole had made everyone beautiful ‘fake’ orchids, as an everlasting memory for us all.
