In Loving Memory of Mark Raymond Bonner

We are all deeply saddened and shocked by the passing of Mark on the 26th May 2025.

He touched the lives of so many, and the outpouring of love, messages, and shared memories over the past week has been truly overwhelming.

All your kind words and messages continue to bring us great comfort, and we thank you for them.

In accordance with his final wishes, Mark will be buried at St Michael and All Angels Church, Mickleham on Monday, 30th June, where Mark and Zoe’s marriage was blessed exactly eighteen years ago to the day.

Mark meant a great deal to all of us. A fine and generous husband, son, brother, father & uncle. A valued friend, respected colleague and mentor to so many.

On the day, parking spaces will be limited at the church, so car sharing is advisable.

We kindly ask that instead of sending flowers, you consider donating, in Mark’s memory, to St Barnabas House Hospice, Worthing. They receive twenty per cent of their funding from the government, the rest is reliant on donations and various fundraising events. During Mark’s final days, the hospice team provided him with a beautiful, peaceful space, world-class care, compassion and support. We can’t thank them enough for their efforts and their extraordinary work.

Donations can be made at www.stbarnabashospice.org.uk/donate — please quote “Mark Bonner” as your reference.

Again, thank you for your understanding, love, and continued support at this difficult time. Although we may be apart in person, we are all united in our grief and remembrance of Mark.

The dress code will be traditional black, please.

Sadly, Carol and I will not be able to attend Marks funeral on Monday

Mark was certainly one of kind, and I always enjoyed his company when our path’s crossed in the 80’s and 90’s. He was always upbeat and made us all laugh.

We will be thinking of you all on Monday, sending all our love and thoughts to Zoë and the rest of the family.

Dear Zoe & all the family,

Mark was a lovely man. It has been such a privilege to have known him and a pleasure to have worked for him for many years at Delta. Never a shortage of laughs and he made sure that things always stayed interesting! On a personal level, Mark was a real support, kind and generous with his time, thoughtful with his advice and never too busy for a chat. He really did care and he will be greatly missed.

I’m so sorry that I won’t be able to attend on Monday and will be thinking of you all during that most difficult of days.

Much love. Gavin

Dear Zoe and family
we are unfortunately unable to make it on Monday and send our deepest condolences.
Mark was always one of our greatest supporters in all of the work that Claire and I undertook, whether building Domes or open air ampitheatres in the Algarve. Regardless of the gig i never saw him without a smile on his face and normally a glass of wine in his hand.. A true enabler and fan of other people's success he is one of the greats of our industry.

The first time I met Mark was in 1983 when he came to the Bahamas on one of my shows to take care of the sound. I will never forget when the Cabaret's German Producer asked Mark how many microphones did he have for the singer and her backup he said nine. Needless to say the German guy went mad thinking we didn't have any! This was my introduction to this wonderful warm, funny and lovely guy who it was always a pleasure to see.

Sadly, neither Diana nor I will be able to attend, but we will be thinking of you all on Monday. We were so grateful to be able to see Mark in late May and connect with him one more time. All our love to Zoë and the rest of the family.
