In loving memory of Pamela King who sadly passed away on 24th May 2025

Pamela Nelson was born on the 29th September 1940 at Harrow, Middlesex to Alfred George Nelson and Doris Ivy, nee Woods. She had one brother, Kenneth, who sadly died in childhood.

She married John King in 1966 at Shepherds Bush and the couple had two daughters Alison and Sally.

Pam and John moved to Kent in 1970 and after first living in Selling, set up home at Macknade in 1971 and have lived there ever since.

Pam had many friends, hobbies and passions. She loved gardening, flowers and birds and had a passion for flower arranging. Her big love was music, orchestral and especially choral music and was a proud member of the Faversham Choral Society for many years.

Pam also adored her family, her husband, two daughters and three grandsons, Jude, Jacob and Caleb. She was also a big cat lover and leaves a beloved cat, Bongo.

Pam was simply the kindest and warmest person who always put others before herself and cared deeply about people. She will be terribly missed by all who loved her.

Sheila Harries donated £20 in memory of Pamela

We remember many happy times with Pam & John when we first came to Faversham Baptist Church. Pam was a lovely, cheerful and warm person and her funeral service was such a beautiful tribute to her.

Pam and I sang together in Faversham Choral Society, but I didn't know her very well (she was an alto and I was a soprano)
It was when I suggested that chorus members should put on cabaret evenings to showcase our talents, that we got better acquainted. Pam was an enthusiastic supporter of the "Under the Spotlight" cabarets.
She took part in every one, she sang in the group numbers, played a nightclub customer, but her speciality was poetry, there were always spots for "Pam's Poems" in every production, usually the poems were of a humorous nature and often involved animals.

Thank you Pam for your support and for enjoying the cabarets as much as I did.

Rest well, much love

Pauline ❤️
