Phil Butterworth who sadly passed away on 17th May 2025.

Phil was a larger than life character, he was great fun, generous, kind and always ready to help anyone. Phil had the knack of engaging easily with people and quickly developing friendships – he was someone that everyone always took to heart and never forgot! Phil has been taken from us far too early, but his resilience, positive thinking magnanimity and thinking of everyone else in his last months are really testament to the top man he was.

Still on our heart and always in our thoughts and prayers.

  • I’m so sorry. Phil truly was one of life’s good guys. Easy to be with, funny, a good cook and one of the tidiest people I have ever lived with. Phil’s advice to ‘always think warm thoughts’ whilst freezing on a chair lift whilst skiing is one that I find repeating to myself still when I’m cold. His advice will stay with me always. My thoughts and prayers are with all who loved him, he will be sorely missed. ❤️
