In Loving Memory of Mark Coates
10th May 2025

With heavy hearts, we remember and honour the life of Mark Coates, who passed away peacefully on the 10th of May, 2025. Mark was a man of quiet strength, unwavering kindness, and boundless love — a cornerstone of his family and a dear friend to many.

A beloved husband to Janet Coates, their marriage was a true partnership filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Together they built a life full of cherished memories and deep companionship.

Mark was a devoted father to Samantha, James, and Matthew — a guiding light and constant source of encouragement, wisdom, and warmth. He was always there with a listening ear, thoughtful advice, or a gentle smile that could put anyone at ease. His children knew they could rely on his steady presence and boundless support through every season of life.

To Liam, Emily, and Alice, his cherished children-in-law, Mark extended the same warmth and generosity of spirit. He welcomed them as his own, with open arms and a heart full of love.

As a grandad, Mark’s joy knew no bounds. His eyes would light up in the company of his grandchildren, and the bond he shared with them was filled with fun, affection, and treasured moments. His legacy lives on in the jokes he told, the games he played, and the deep love he gave so freely.

Mark was also a much-loved brother to Andrew — loyal, steady, and caring. Their bond was a lasting source of strength, laughter, and shared memories.

To know Mark was to be touched by his kindness, his humility, and his genuine spirit. He had a quiet way of making people feel valued and seen, and he leaves behind a life marked by love, integrity, and deep connection. His presence will be sorely missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him.

Forever loved, never forgotten. Rest peacefully, Mark.

I have worked with and supported mark and Lindley Grange for a number of years as regoinal maintanace operative and think of Mark as a good friend, Who will be missed by many im sure. He was a real down to earth guy with a big heart and a big personality to go with it. He had nothing but time for the home, its residents and others he worked with. I will always remember him fondly Darren
