Pa,
45 years we have shared, and you taught me so much. You were an amazing husband to Ma, and an amazing dad to us kids, grandkids.
Whatever life threw at you, you always stood tall, undefeated. Your strength/ courage has always been admirable, and inspiring.

I loved it when I used to go to work with you, along with Patrick Welsh. A girl shovelling and in the JCB? unheard of, but you made me feel a part of it. It was such fun. Thanks to you I can do some practical things.

You took us around the world with our holidays. You supported me through University. Our rock, our corner stone x

It’s hard to imagine a life without you when you’ve been the heart of everything we do. You would want us to be strong and live our lives to the full, I promise we will, and I know you will be watching and gently guiding us.

We will look after Ma, always.
I miss you Pa, love you forever xx

Oh Dad, what a gem of a man you are! You can rest easy now knowing that you’ve given us a lifetime of love, fun and family memories to cherish. We were always there for each other so I’m grateful that nothing has been left unsaid between us.

The strength in your hands mirrored the strength of your heart. Your mischievous ways, that twinkle in your eyes, your happiness by always helping others and your love for our family will be irreplaceable. I will cherish our many “one for the road, okay let’s make that two, for the road!”. May we all be ‘as happy as Larry’ going forward.

For my own little family, you thrived in being a Grandad. You showed up for sports days, the school plays and the endless football matches we’ve stood to cheer on Ben and Jack. You were their biggest fan!

You will be missed by our family, friends, ex-work mates and I’m sure Guinness and many pubs will miss your loyalty too (God, I hope the pub industry survives without your custom!).

Mum has been by your side during your 59 years of marriage and we will take good care of her as that’s the only thing you ever asked of us.

It’s a proud moment when someone says “Larry McCoy – he’s great man”. I know – he’s my Dad.

Dad, Pa, Grandad, Larry, Bod – A legend. My Dad x

My heartfelt condolences to Aunty Carol, cousins Marie, Gerald, Helen, Sharon, Kelly and immediate family on your profound loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all from across the miles in India.

Uncle Larry - you were a special treasure. A solid, gentle pillar of strength to the Kerins family. Always joyful, loving, playful, humble and sincere. In you our family were blessed with a beloved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and godfather.

I have so many fond memories of times spent together with you as a young child visiting England from South Africa. Another vivid memory as a teenager was seeing you standing tall at the arrivals gate in London airport. Ready with your presence and smile embracing us all and our mountain of suitcases as we returned to resettle in England. This constant love and support continued when I later moved to Japan. When visiting my parents in Ireland our paths often met. I thoroughly enjoyed those days with you and Aunty Carol always filled with love and laughter. You always made time for everyone. So generous and endearing. You will be dearly missed, revered and loved by us all forever.
All our love always Bon, Kota, Sophie and Lyla xxxx

Uncle Larry, we are all going to miss you so much.

You were undoubtedly my kindest, funniest and cheekiest Uncle. I can still hear your voice in my mind calling me "Zola Bud" whilst laughing and chasing me with your removable tooth.

I have endless fond memories of summer holidays with Kel, you, Auntie Carol and the McCoys. Thank you for those special times.

You and Auntie Carol were always like teenagers in love. True role models of what marriage is all about, loving each other through all the good times and pulling each other through the tough times.

Thank you for being a wonderful Uncle to all of us Kerins gang. Thank you for being a truly wonderful brother and brother in law to our parents. They both miss you dearly. I know they take comfort in the cherished memories of all the special times you've had together especially your last visit to Claremorris last year for Mom's 80th birthday.

We love you and miss you dearly. Love, Claire, Joe and Max Wildman xxx

Rest in Peace Uncle Larry. What an honour and a privilege it was to have you as our cherished Uncle. You were a role model to us all. Utterly selfless, and such great fun to be around. The epitome of great craic! You've been front and centre in all our thoughts over the last few weeks, and my thoughts always return to the laughter you brought. The wit, the jokes, and the cheeky laugh that accompanied them. You were a great man, you're going to be sorely missed, but always so fondly loved and remembered.

My thoughts and condolences to all of Larry's many friends and family who are mourning his loss, especially to dear Aunty Carol, Sharon, Marie, Helen, Kelly, Gerald and their families. We are all here for you whenever you need us. X

Uncle Larry, you were of the kindest, funniest and most loyal souls us Kerins’ have ever known.

Your enthusiasm was infectious and your loyalty to your loved ones never wavered. You cherished your role as a husband to Aunty Carol, a father, an uncle, a brother, a godfather and a steadfast friend.

Your laughter – big, bold and funny. It could fill a room and lift spirits. You were one of life’s good guys. The real deal. The real McCoy. Honest, caring and always ready with a helping hand.

My thoughts are with Aunty Carol and my cousins. Words may fall short; one thing is certain: you were greatly loved and you'll be deeply missed by all who knew you. Your warmth will continue to embrace us, your wisdom will continue to guide us, and your love will live in our hearts forever.

Your Paddy Daddy God Daughter Suzanne

On behalf of the Aussie McCoys, we remember with deep affection a kind, generous, and much loved brother and uncle whose quiet strength and warm heart touched everyone who knew him. Despite the long distance between Australia and the UK, Uncle Larry remained a constant presence in our lives—thoughtful, supportive, and full of gentle humour and good fun.

Time spent together was always treasured, filled with meaningful conversations, laughter, and a sense of being deeply cared for. He gave freely of himself, always putting others first.

His legacy is one of kindness and quiet grace. Though he is no longer with us, his memory lives on in the love he shared and the lives he touched. He will be missed deeply and remembered always.

Our thoughts in particular go out to Aunty Carol and our cousins. Sending love and prayers across the miles and thankful for the many wonderful memories that Uncle Larry and his family have given us. They will be treasured forever.
