About Us
The Wollaton branch originally belonged to the Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Service before being incorporated into the A W Lymn group in 2003. The funeral home was formerly based on Arleston Drive in Wollaton, but was moved in late July 2014 to a purposed designed site on Wollaton Road called Deer Park House.
The new premises has off-street car parking and a beautiful visitation room with its own private waiting area.
The office was formerly a police station and features a large, bright, modern client reception, as well as state-of-the-art rooms.
The office is run by Funeral Director Kirby Cranshaw with the help of Funeral Arranger Skye Parton-Buckeridge.
The funeral home is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm. You can also make an appointment to see someone after hours via the telephone number.
The branch covers all of Wollaton and its surroundings including Bilborough, Bramcote, Nuthall, Strelley, Trowell, Watnall and beyond.
A.W.Lymn The Family Funeral Service is managed and owned by the Lymn Rose family. Nigel, Jackie and Matthew Lymn Rose are the directors of the company.

I would have liked to have given an excellent but I can’t, because I have an issue with the celebrant who did the service. He sent us a draft reading of my deceased wifes life and it had quite a few errors in it. We sent him an email with all the corrected errors in it and on the day he did his service he still read the draft reading with all the errors in it. Made the ceremony less than perfect and because we didn’t want to make a scene, we kept quiet at the time. It would have been respectful and considerate to have contacted us before now to apologise but nothing has been forthcoming. Too late now, the damage has been done, we have to live with it.

Superb from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Compassionate, caring, attentive, made what is a difficult time so much easier for us.
