In loving memory of Marian Ruth Barbier who sadly passed away on 20th April 2025 , Marian was a wonderful sister and is greatly missed by her sisters Bernice and Jeanne , brother Peter and the wider family.

Marian was an extremely knowledgeable and entertaining lady who made friends easily through her life. Her wide range of interests ensured easy conversation in her company-she could also be very exacting and was admired for her decerning manner at work.
Marian was very sociable when she was in good health and enjoyed family parties and her leisure pursuits were often educational as well.
When her Rheumatoid Arthritis finally stopped her in her tracks she never gave in or gave up!
Marian would always say '' You mustn't give up!'' That was her daily mantra. Thank you Marian , you were an inspiration to us all.

I remember as a child your stories of life aboard ship, and how you loved a good family get together. Even in later years when you were still able to come to my house with mum for Christmas dinner, you were still as entertaining as ever, my two boys were always keen to listen to your stories, we will all miss you Marian, R.I.P and God Speed on your final journey, xxxx

Auntie Marian you really were one of kind, growing up you were an inspiration to me, in that it’s possible to follow your dreams and go for it and don’t give up. We all loved hearing about your adventures, enjoyed your sense of humour and admired your true grit when life was difficult ❤️. Sleep peacefully 🙏 until we meet again 🙏

I'm in Gibraltar on the QE2 Madge, you sailed many times on the Queen Mary! You brought me back a lovely pair of Wrangler jeans from Macys in New York very rare in my school days! Always loved Wrigleys gum too, thank you Madge you lived life your way!
