Jean was a special and talented person and was devoted to her late husband Roop. She was an amazing craft person from spinning to weaving, quilting to needlefelt any craft activity was a challenge and she always excelled in whatever she did. Cooking and gardening she was an all round housewife and enjoyed everything she did. She travelled to see family in India and a little bit closer in the West of England, but also USA for quilting and even the Shetland Isles for spinning.
A lovely lady who will be sadly missed by all and is now at rest with Roop.

My mother Edna Folwell was a neighbour in Hempstead and they became very close friends until my mother died aged 100. They both a shared passion for creative needlework which became a great bond between them. As someone who lectured in creative textiles I also loved to talk to Jean about her work and her travels. She was both talented, knowledgeable and very inspirational. Both my brother Robert and I send her family and friends our most sincere condolences.
