My lovely sister, Susan, was kind, clever and witty. She took great pleasure in her family, her garden and in the natural world around her.
I miss our daily WhatsApp chats where, right now, I’d be telling her about the Red Kite that was flying over us when we walked the dog; the ‘creaking gate’ call of the Great Tit in the silver birch; the blackbird that sounds like it’s singing Mellow Yellow’ and the robin who sings outside our bedroom window all hours of the day. She’d be telling me about the huge numbers of goldfinches visiting her feeders and the plants she hoped to put in the garden as the weather warmed.
I will miss her every day but we will always be ‘Brenda’s three little lasses’.
Love from Janet x

Sue was a beautiful person, inside and out. She lovingly welcomed me into her family, and I am lucky to have many, many fond memories of the time we all spent together. Sue truly saw the good in everything, and noticed all the beauty there is to see in our world.
